THIS MONTH'S DESIGN IDEA ADD WARMTH TO YOUR INTERIOR

Add warmth to your interior
This month's design idea Add warmth to your interior

To counter the cold, we automatically think of textiles: blankets, curtains, rugs etc. But we hardly ever consider aromas! However, while nature sleeps, they're a wonderful way to add a touch of softness.

Scented candles are sources of light, heat and scent, so use a variety of warm colours: red, orange, plum etc. As for aromas, try the citrus ones: they'll put you in a good mood.

THE ESSENTIALS TO ADD WARMTH INDOORS

To add warmth to your interior, there is no shortage of solutions. Bring in a touch of softness with blankets and cushions in warm materials and place them here and there in the home. Speaking of textiles, protect yourself from sources of cold: hang thick curtains in the bedrooms, stock up on draught excluders and use more woollen or fur rugs. Don't neglect lighting either. Lamps, lanterns, candles etc.: the more light sources you have, the less you'll think about the grey skies. And there's nothing to stop you from playing with materials and colours too, by changing the lampshades and light bulbs.
