THIS MONTH'S DESIGN IDEA AT LAST, A TIDY BEDROOM!

At last, a tidy bedroom!
This month's design idea At last, a tidy bedroom!

Small toys are the hardest to tidy and the easiest to lose: cars, marbles, cards, doll’s clothing and accessories etc.

Sort them into groups in transparent plastic pockets that you can zip and label. Whether you put them in colourful crates and boxes or hang them on a string stretched between two walls, your children will easily find them.

MUST HAVES FOR TIDYING A CHILD S BEDROOM

To have any chance of keeping your child’s bedroom tidy, the secret is to use solutions that suit their needs. Firstly, avoid having clothing scattered everywhere: choose a wardrobe with a hanging rail and shelves. If you need to, add a chiffonier for small clothing items. A bed with drawers or a bed end are all you need to store sheets and clothes out of season. For toys and teddy bears, think big with fun chests and trunks or go small with boxes, baskets and even colourful bins. Stick on photos or labels describing the toys inside.
