THIS MONTH'S DESIGN IDEA HIS EXPLORER’S BEDROOM

His explorer’s bedroom
This month's design idea His explorer’s bedroom

Does your young explorer love adventure and mysteries? Choose a four-poster bed for him:once the covers are closed over, he can devise his plans away from prying eyes and wild animals.

Then multiply the hiding places, useful for both hiding treasures and for rediscovering the ones you thought were lost. Trunks, boxes, drawers etc. It all works as long as it has an air of secrecy!

MUST HAVES FOR AN EXPLORER’S BEDROOM.

To transform your child’s bedroom into a new world of discovery, start by helping him to set up camp. Firstly, a bed, preferably a four-poster:curtains closed, he’ll think he’s in the bush! Then, add a chest of drawers or an exotic closet to tidy his things, a desk to recount his expeditions and one or two trunks to keep his treasures in. Decoration-wise, whatever calls you on a journey is allowed: nature trophies and plates on the walls, model aeroplanes on the ceiling, globes and animal sculptures on the furniture.
