How do I find what I'm looking for on the site?
To find the products you like, use the drop down menu at the top of each page.

You can search in 4 different ways:
- If you are looking for specific type of furniture, for example a table or a sofa,
use the menu « Type of Furniture ».
- If you want to have a matching décor, click on « Furniture Styles ».
- If you need to furnish your kitchen or lounge, the menu « Rooms of the House » is for you.
- If you are looking for a specific type of wood or colour of furniture, use the menu « Materials and Colours ».
You can also search through all the products by using the search field in the upper left hand of each page.
If you saw something you liked in our catalogue, just type the product name, line or reference into the search field.
How can I find decorative objects on the site?
To find the products you like, use the drop down menu « Decorative touche » at the top of each page

Our decorative objects are divided into 4 categories: mirrors, lights, textiles and accessories.
You can also run a search using the search field in the upper right hand corner of each page.
If you have seen something you like in our catalogue, just type the product name or reference directly into the search field.
How do I care for my new furniture?
The care varies depending on the materials and type of wood.

How do I check the availability of a product?
Once you’ve filled your shopping basket, go to the page « My Basket » and click on « Place order and view item availability».
The site automatically checks our stocks and informs you of the availability of the items, and gives an estimated delivery date for your country.
If you are ordering several items of furniture, they may be available on different dates.
You can choose to group your delivery all at once or receive your items as they become available.

Will my furniture be delivered assembled?
Most of our furniture is delivered assembled. Only the largest pieces must be assembled by you. In this case, it is clearly indicated in the product description.
But don’t worry, our furniture is very easy to assemble and does not require any special tools.
Can I find all of the furniture displayed on the website in Maisons du Monde stores?
Space is limited in our stores, so not all the furniture collections can be displayed. But you will find at least one item from each product line so you can appreciate the workmanship of our products.
Placing an Order 
How do I place an order?
To select an item, click on « Add to my basket ». This button is present on each product description page, just below the description of the furniture.
Once you have finished making your selection, click on « My Basket » on the upper part of your screen.
This will show you all of the items you have selected, as well as the prices, quantities, and total order price.
Before continuing your order, you can add, delete or change the quantities of an item. Be sure to check all of the information.
You should also make sure that all your furniture can be delivered by normal access (stairs, elevator, doors). Check the dimensions of each item you are ordering. The dimensions are given on the product description page.
To continue your order, just select your delivery country from the list and then click « place order and check availability ». Follow the instructions to confirm and make your payment.
Where is my order? When will I receive my items?
You can track your order in real time.
To learn the status of your orders, go to « My Account », log in with your e-mail address and password.
Then click on « View Orders ».
There are several Order Status possibilities:
- Open:
Before the order is sent for processing, the credit card payment must be confirmed. This verification is done automatically and takes only a few seconds.For payments by check, we need to receive your payment within 5 days of placing your order, or your order will automatically be cancelled.(Do not insert because checks are not accepted for now.Add when payment by check has been set up; not applicable for now.
- Open, awaiting payment:
This status appears if you have opted to pay by check.
We need to receive your payment within 8 days of placing your order, or your order will automatically be cancelled.
The delivery date takes into account the time required to receive and process your check. As soon as Maisons du Monde receives your check, your order status will switch to « Confirmed » and you will receive an e-mail confirmation.
- Order Confirmed:
Once your order has been recorded and your credit card or check payment has been authorized by your bank, your order status will change to « confirmed ». An automated e-mail confirmation will be sent to you.
The « order confirmed » status automatically generates a purchase order. You can view and print your order by going to « My Account » and « View Orders ».
Our shipper will call you to arrange a date and time of day for home delivery.
- Order being processed:
Your order has been sent to our logistics partner. Once your items become available, they will be carefully prepared and packaged for shipping.
- Order has shipped:
Your order has been picked up by our shippers. Make sure you are at home to meet them on the arranged date.
- Order delivered
Once the order has been received by you, the status switches to « Order Delivered »
You can view your invoice by going to « My Account » and « View Orders ».
- Order cancelled
This status appears when you have cancelled your order through our Customer Service Department. Details of each of these operations are sent to you personally by e-mail.
When am I going to receive my order?
When you confirm your order, an estimated delivery date is given for each item, as follows: available as from « YYYY/mm/dd ».
For furniture delivered by carrier, our shipping department will call you to arrange for a delivery date.
What should I do when I receive my furniture delivered by carrier?
When you receive your order, check the condition of the furniture before the shippers leave.
If you notice a problem, write a detailed description of the problem on the delivery slip. The phrase « subject to » does not have any legal validity.
Our shipping department will contact you as soon as the truck returns from its delivery rounds (72 hours maximum).
How do I cancel or change my order?
You can change your order up until the point where the status is « order being processed ».
To modify or cancel an order, contact Maisons du Monde Customer Service Department.
I do not want to place an order over the Internet. Can I order the same items at a Maisons du Monde store?
You will find our furniture collections as well as decorative objects for sale in our stores. You can order furniture directly at the store. A sales adviser will be happy to serve you and answer any questions you may have.
Our decorative objects can only be ordered on the internet and not in our shops.
Delivery 
Where will Maisons du Monde deliver to?
Maisons du Monde will deliver to your home in Metropolitan France (including Corsica), Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany and England.
To select your delivery country, just chose from the list on the « My Basket » page and then click « place order and check availability ». Follow the instructions to confirm and make your payment.
How much does delivery cost?
Deliveries to Germany, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom:
FURNITURE DELIVERY :
Maisons du Monde offers free shipping to your furniture for orders 1500 € incl. VAT or over.
For orders (excluding sofas), the delivery charge is €10 incl. tax per item.
For orders of sofas, the delivery charge is €50 incl. tax per item.
DELIVERY OF HOME DECORATING ITEMS :
Your home decorating items will be delivered by parcel. Shipping costs are €8 including VAT per item.
Delivery to Metropolitan France (including Corsica) and Belgium:
FURNITURE DELIVERY :
Maisons du Monde offers free shipping to your home for orders of 300 € (incl. VAT) or more.
- For orders under 300 € incl. VAT, the delivery charge is 15 € incl. VAT*.
- You can have your furniture delivered by carrier or parcel. The type of shipping will be specified in step 2 of your order.
DELIVERY OF DECORATIVE OBJECTS (mirrors, lights, textiles and accessories) :
Your decorative objects will be delivered by parcel. You will be billed €8 (incl. tax) per item.
How long will it take to get my furniture?
When you confirm your order, an estimated delivery date is given for each item, as follows: available as from « yyyy/mm/dd ».

What should I do when I receive my order at my home?

Can you deliver my furniture to one of your stores?
Unfortunately, there is not enough space in our stores to make this possible. You can have your items shipped to a different address. Just indicate the delivery address when you place your order.
Refunds and Returns 
Is there a Cooling-Off period for my furniture orders?
Pursuant to article L121-20 of the French Consumer Code, you have a cooling off period of 7 clear days from the date of delivery to cancel any part of your order and return the product(s) at your expense.

Can I exchange an item I purchased on the Internet at a Maisons du Monde store?
Our Internet and store inventories are managed separately, so we cannot do in-store exchanges.

Payment Methods 
What are the different ways I can pay?
Maisons du Monde accepts online credit card payments secured by Natexis Banque Populaire’s Cyperplus Paiement system, and payment by check (in France only). To find out more, go to the page Maisons du Monde Payments.
What kind of secure payment system does Maisons du Monde use?
We have chosen the Natexis Banque Populaire’s Cyperplus Paiement online payment system.
When you make your online payment, your data are automatically sent to the bank’s server via SSL in secure transaction mode. Your credit card information is recorded only in Natexis’ database.
We never receive, record or keep any of you credit card information. After your payment is validated by Natexis, you are automatically transferred back to our website. The personal data recorded in the cookie are then deleted.

How does Maisons du Monde guarantee the security and confidentiality of my personal data?
We guarantee the security of your data using physical, electronic and administrative methods. On all of the web pages requiring you to enter personal data, we use standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption.
