What is a Good is beautiful product?
At Maisons du Monde, we are committed to selecting Good is beautiful products for you, that means eco-friendly products that help preserve the environment, products made in Europe to support local employment, or products that preserve talent both locally and globally.

Our Good is beautiful criteria
At Maisons du Monde, we take care to respect human rights, the health of our customers, and the preservation of natural resources when developing our homeware collections. To be part of the Good is beautiful selection, products must meet at least one of the nine sustainability criteria we have identified, and fall into one of our three overarching sustainability objectives.
Traceable wood
From the forest to the point of sale, wood can be traced to help in the fight against deforestation.
Sustainably certified wood
From forests managed in a sustainable way, this wood allows us to preserve both wood resources and biodiversity.
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100
This certification guarantees the absence of substances undesirable to health, in particular for the skin.
Certified organic cotton
Made without GMOs and without synthetic products, this cotton ensures a product that respects both the environment and producers.
Recycled materials
Recycled materials make it possible to avoid additional creation of raw materials and to reuse waste.
Made in Europe
European manufacturing enables the development of European industry and reduces CO2 emissions linked to the transport of products.
Our goal:
contribute to protecting our planet and those who live in it
To be included in the Good is beautiful collection, our products must meet at least one of our three objectives.

Preserve talent locally and globally
At the heart of our collections and our commitments is local and international talent and craft. The talent and skills of our suppliers merit our full respect and attention. Preserving them helps protect cultural heritage and promote craftsmanship and jobs related to it. To be part of the Good is beautiful selection, products must bear witness to local, historical, and traditional crafting techniques but also to a desire for adaptation, the use of local raw materials and the use of a local, qualified workforce ensuring manual or industrial manufacture.
What is the positive impact?
Choosing these products makes it possible to preserve traditions, to support creation and craft. These products give an extra soul to our interiors, they are a source of inspiration and invite us to discover the world we live in.
