Instructions:
Wear eye protection and rubber gloves while using the Protector.
First, cover the floor.
New teak: first clean the teak with our Teak and Wood Cleaner to remove the natural oil layer (or leave outside for two weeks).
For discoloured or oil-treated teak: first clean the item with our Teak & Wood Cleaner.
If the cleaned wood is rough, sand it gently with sandpaper before applying the protective coating. Check that the teak is completely dry and free from dust.
Shake the protector for at least a minute before use. If you do not shake the product enough, the colour may be uneven.
We advise testing the protector on a small, unseen area (for example the back of a leg) to check you are happy with the colour.
Apply a very thin coat of protector evenly over the item using a dust-free rag.
After 30 minutes, apply another very thin coat.
We recommend treating teak furniture with Protector once or twice a year.
