Instructions:
Before applying the waterproofing treatment, protect your hands and eyes.
Choose a resilient surface or protect your floor from splashes.
New teak: first clean the teak with our Teak and Wood Cleaner to remove the natural oil layer (or leave outside for two weeks).
For discoloured or oil-treated teak: first clean the item with our Teak & Wood Cleaner.
If patinated wood is slightly rough after cleaning, sand it gently before applying the treatment (the ideal method is to clean it with an abrasive sponge).
For grey patinated teak: apply carefully by dabbing (rubbing damages the grey patina).
The wood must be completely clean and dry before application.
Mix well before use.
Apply a thin coat of waterproofing treatment using a soft rag.
Allow to dry for around an hour, then apply a second coat. Wait around 48 hours for best results.
We recommend applying a waterproofing treatment at least once a year. Table tops should be treated more frequently.
